Whatever happened to good, old-fashioned classic Cheetos? Or Flamin' Hot Cheetos? Even Chili Cheese flavored Cheetos? Why are those flavors not good enough for you? Why must we come to this:

Pepsi flavored Cheetos.

The newest novelty snack flavor (we assume? Novelty like the Chicken and Waffle Lay's before it) comes out of Japan and will not be available in the U.S. anytime ever, it seems. "The answer is no," PepsiCo spokesperson Jeff Dahncke told L.A. Times

But you can't judge a book by its cover and you can't judge a Cheetos flavor by how absolutely disgusting it sounds. So we turn to the reviews:

The Impulsive Buy took on the Frito Lay Cheetos x Pepsi Shuwa Shuwa Cola Corn Snack and, as he explains at the beginning of the post, "I publish this review not so much as a review but as a mile marker for future historians to look to when our inevitable self-destruction finally occurs."

The Smell: "I immediately identified something very close to flat cola. Flat Pepsi? I dunno. My nose palate is not so refined," he reports, noting that there's also a hint of cinnamon donuts.

The Taste: "It's very citrusy, almost sour. And it hits hard. It tries to capture the citrus notes of Pepsi, but it's over the top. Too lemony."

The...Feel? "Did I mention these fizz a little?! Yea! Not like crazy Pop Rocks fizzing, but there is some definite popping and crackling. It's all about attention to detail, guys. I tip my hat to Frito-Lay for that one.

The Verdict: "They do linger in the mouth for quite a while to leave you with a weird, marginally accurate, if lemony, Pepsi aftertaste."

Another YouTube reviewer put it a little more blunty:

"That's so weird," trying it again. "I mean, first impression, I'm not going to say it tastes good."

(What does it say about us that now that we've heard how gross they are, we want to try them for ourselves even more?!)
