Your Sunday is about to explode from how much Total Divas is coming your way...
Life for the beautiful and busy WWE Divas is about to get even busier. Not only will the Divas be competing in an intense SummerSlam match, it was just announced that Total Divas has been picked up for an additional six episodes!
In an intimate lunch, E! News sat down with each Diva to find out details on Sunday's SummerSlam match and what we can expect from more Total Divas.
SummerSlam Axxess' match will feature Brie Bella and Eva Marie vs. Natalya (Nattie) and Extra host Maria Menounos in a full-on Diva tag-team match! This will be Eva Marie's wrestling debut.
It was recently announced that longtime WWE fan Menounos would be joining Nattie in the ring as a special Diva contender. Maria isn't an official WWE Diva, and Brie wants to make sure that is known and why she herself should be considered a Diva veteran.
"I'm excited to face Maria, because it will be nice to prove to her once again why she's not a Diva and why she can't hang in the ring," Brie said. "I'm excited to go up against Nattie—I think she doesn't look at me as a veteran because she grew up in a wrestling family. I worked really hard to get where I'm at now. I can't wait to prove to her on Sunday why I should be considered a veteran and why I don't need a wrestling family to show that I'm a good wrestler."
Oh snap! Those are fighting words! Well, it's a good thing they'll be duking it out.
Nattie views Maria in a different way. "I'm so excited about having her as a partner. I admire her dedication and she's a huge fan of WWE and I respect that," Nattie gushed. "She represents everything that Divas are. She's bold, she's bright, she's beautiful, and she's passionate about what she does."
And what is she looking forward to in the new Total Divas episodes? "I'm just excited to see how my life unfolds. I plan on getting the Divas championship again soon and rubbing it in the Bella's face."
The big SummerSlam Diva match this Sunday will be The Bella Twins and Eva Marie vs. Nattie and The Funkadactyls (Trinity and Ariane)! But those Divas don't get all of the attention.
Diva newbie JoJo will be performing the national anthem to a sold-out Staples Center crowd! "I'm really excited for this Sunday and I'm honored that they would give me the spot", JoJo said. "I can't even find the words, I still can't believe it. I didn't believe it when they told me."
We can't wait to see the Divas do what they do best: kick butt and put on a great show!
