Jenelle Evans is a free woman.
The Teen Mom star was released from a Wilmington, N.C., jail earlier today after being locked up on Monday for failing a drug test during a court appearance. Jenelle was all smiles while leaving with boyfriend Nathan Griffiths by her side.
"She was released this morning," Jenelle's attorney, Dustin R. T. Sullivan, tells E! News exclusively. "The jail time sentence was unexpected and it wasn't part of any plea deal. But when she tested positive for marijuana she was given two days in jail. It is routine if you come to court they can test you and they tested others that day as well."
On Monday, the reality-TV star plead to possession of drug paraphernalia and was given 18 months probation. However, the judge administered a surprise drug test, which Jenelle failed.
Sullivan said Jenelle "seemed OK with" doing the jail time. He added, "I think she was pleased with the outcome of the cases. She was pleased the other charges were dismissed so she was OK with doing the two days in jail...She was at ease with the jail time."
Jenelle faces no other charges at this time after she and Sullivan made a plea deal. Sullivan continued, "The possession with intent to sell and deliver heroin was dismissed, the possession of controlled substances and the simple assault involving Courtland Rogers."
"She was definitely happy the felony charges were dropped," he said. "She has no other charges she is facing. She has no restrictions on her other than she can't violate any laws because she is on an 18-month unsupervised probation. She can now go back to her home in Myrtle Beach and move on with her life."
And move on she is. Jenelle, who isn't currently working or going to school, has been tweeting up a storm since being released from jail this morning. She posted a photo of her bed covered in roses and a bubble bath with the caption, "This is what I come home to. @GroundLevelUp." She also shared, "Thanks for all of the support everyone!"
And lastly, she posted a photo of a welcome home sign that Griffiths made with the caption, "#WelcomeBack Nathan really went all out!"
