Shakira is one proud mama!
Sure, she gushes about 7-month-old son, Milan, in the September 2013 issue of Self magazine but she also boasts about her postbaby bod.
"I'm quite proud of my rear," she shares.
Another area she likes to flaunt? Her toned tummy. The singer flashed her fab abs on the cover by lifting up her simple black tank (which was paired with sexy leather shorts).
The 36-year-old says her workout routine started before she gave birth. "I did Zumba throughout my pregnancy," she reveals. "That helped me not gain too much weight." And not just the regular classes at the gym. The A-lister was lucky enough to train privately with Zumba creator Beto Perez.
In addition to working out four to five times a week, the "Hips Don't Lie" singer also did 30 reps of held pliés and glute squeezes to get her bum in shape.
As for her meals, you could say she had a bit of a snack attack. Luckily each of her small meals (eight a day) were healthy ones—rich in fiber, protein, calcium and iron and under 250 calories each.
Despite joking that "after the delivery, you look like a shar-pei!" the star shares: "I don't obsess over my flaws, because I see my body as a whole. Besides, I think men appreciate confidence more than perfection."
No doubt, her soccer player beau (and baby daddy) Gerard Piqué agrees.
