One of Hollywood's toughest actors is spreading some Disney magic!
Tom Hiddleston, known for his epic roles in The Avengers, Thor and War Horse, revealed he is quite the Disney fanatic at this weekend's D23 Expo held minutes away from the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, Calif.
Joined by costar Christina Hendricks, the actor thought he was going to answer questions about his new film, The Pirate Fairy. Instead, fans wanted Hiddleston to prove his Disney knowledge with a solo of "Bare Necessities," a classic from The Jungle Book.
Without any hesitation, the 32-year-old English actor busted out into song as the crowd erupted in applause.
Even Hendricks was impressed with her costar's musical abilities as she cheered him on throughout the performance. Hope she knows she could have joined in too!
Hiddleston would later tell the crowd he sang The Jungle Book classic years ago at an audition. Clearly, he still hasn't forgotten those catchy lyrics.
"I've always loved Disney," Hiddleston confessed to E! News at the Disney fan event. "To be in Disney films is an amazing privilege."
Disney's latest Tinkerbell movie titled The Pirate Fairy follows the relationship of dust-keeper fairy Zarina (Hendricks) and cabin boy James (Hiddleston).
"He is kind and educated and polite and charming and attentive and he is Zarina's best friend," Hiddleston teases. "Over the course of the film…his true nature is revealed. He's actually captain of the pirates, and he is the ruthless and cunning Captain James Hook."
And just because Hiddleston grew up with classic Disney films such as Dumbo and Fox and the Hound, that doesn't mean he dreads playing the villain.
"It's fun to play the big bad," he said. "And he really is the big bad."
Watch the magic unfold on the big screen in March 2014.
