Stars let loose at the 2013 Teen Choice Awards on Aug. 11 by kicking off the award show's red—er, blue carpet in real style. Staying true to the night's fun theme (winners get surf boards after all!) celebs opted for palm-tree prints, colorful stripes and patterned pantsuits.
Blonds may have more fun but brunettes seemed to dominate the top fashion looks. The night's cohost Lucy Hale glowed in a Houghton crop top with embroidered skirt while Selena Gomez also showed off a hint of skin in a cutout Cushnie et Ochs dress that featured a double split.
Nina Dobrev also played peek-a-boo with the plunging neckline on her printed pantsuit. Another fan of patterns? Jordin Sparks. The singer showed off her curves in a figure-hugging, striped Bebe dress with white Aldo pumps.
Last but certainly not least, Kerry Washington deserves an honorable mention for her cheerful Stella McCartney dress with red hearts and lip prints.
