Tameka Foster is feeling thankful now that her son is on the mend.

Usher's ex-wife took to Twitter Thursday to share a sweet shot of her 5-year-old son, Usher Raymond V, who is currently resting and recovering after nearly drowning in a pool earlier this week.

"My favorite 5 year old. What a blessing! I have always loved and appreciated my sons but tragedies and close calls make this even more evident," the 42-year-old stylist captioned a precious Instagram pic where she's hugging her little boy in the hospital next to a large display of "get well soon" goodies.

"URV had an angel named Kile Ishmael and our Lord and true savior to look after him," she continued. "Words cannot express the relief and how thankful to God I truly am. Thank you Jehovah God, Jesus and Kile...also The AV worker that saved my son is my Hero!!! Period ❤."

On Monday evening, Usher Raymond V was hospitalized after almost drowning in his father's pool while trying to retrieve a toy that was stuck in an underwater pool drain, according to an Atlanta police report.

The little boy's arm got stuck in the drain while he was underwater and his aunt and a housekeeper unsuccessfully tried to free him.

Two male contractors working inside the house then rushed to the pool and were able to free Usher Raymond V. One of the men performed CPR, reviving the boy before medical responders arrived at Usher's home.

Foster has since filed for an emergency custody hearing in the wake of the pool accident. In the court filing, Foster's attorney, Angela Kinley, claims "the children are at risk while in the care of third-party caregivers...while (Usher) travels around the world for his work-related activities."

Tameka is asking a Georgia judge to immediately award her temporary custody of all her minor children currently under Usher's care. The 34-year-old performer was awarded primary custody of their two sons in 2012 after the former couple divorced in 2009.

The pool accident comes just one year after Usher's late stepson, Kile Glover (biological son to Foster), died after being struck by a personal watercraft on Lake Lanier.

The emergency hearing is scheduled for today at the Fulton County courthouse.
