It was the chop heard around the world!

The buzz over Beyoncé's pretty pixie cut is still going strong—and we can't say we're surprised.

The super-short 'do is one of the most dramatic changes any gal can make. In fact, even Bey's longtime stylist Kim Kimble admitted the transformation was a "great shock" to her, but she nevertheless thinks the cut looks "amazing."

And Kimble isn't the only celebrity stylist to applaud the stunning singer for her bold new beauty look.

"This look is a great look for Beyoncé," said Salon AKS cofounder, Susanna Romano, whose celebrity clients include Mariah Carey, Courteney Cox and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. "She has incredible bone structure and is able to pull it off. As a mom, it is sometimes tough to have long hair with young children, plus she can always put in hair extensions when she needs her fierce locks."

But plenty of other stars without families have also chopped their locks for the edgy look that feels fresh and young. Take Miley Cyrus, who told E! News, "You will never see me with long hair again!"

If that's not a ringing endorsement for a pixie, we don't know what is!

If you're considering the cut, celeb stylist Louis Angelo, who has worked with Uma Thurman and Natalie Portman has a few tips.

"Look in the mirror and focus on your best feature," he suggests. "If it's your eyes, short, cropped hair with a slight fringe grazing your eyebrows focuses attention on your eyes. Do you have nice cheekbones? Short hair swept up and away from your face is your go-to look. To showcase your lips, consider a Chanel-inspired, '20s flapper bob à la The Great Gatsby. The bottom line of the bob draws attention to your lips, whereas a chin-length bob defines the chin."
