Ready to "Roar" with Katy Perry?!
Just days before the release of the singer's highly anticipated single, the 28-year-old performer took to Twitter to share the cover art for her upcoming song—the first track off of her forthcoming album Prism.
As expected, there's no blue wig or candy-colored bra in sight (she's already burned those, anyway), and Perry is the focus of the simple artwork, which highlights the raven-haired star's natural beauty.
The "Fireworks" singer—who's clearly not afraid to show off her bangin' bod—is also completely clothed in the cover art, sporting a blue jacket with a large roaring tiger emblazoned on the back while glancing over her shoulder and keeping her enviable cleavage completely hidden.
A colorful animal print border and the title "Roar" in large gold letters completes the cover for the upcoming song, which is set for release Aug. 12.
The artwork is a far cry from Perry's previous eye-catching covers (she swapped clothes for clouds in the artwork for her 2010 single "Teenage Dream") as the performer strives to shed her old image—a point which she's made incredibly clear in the teasers for her new single.
She also recently released a snippet from her upcoming song, which is clearly an upbeat, quintessentially Katy track.
And she's also been busy promoting her fourth studio album Prism (with the help of a large gold truck), which is slated for release Oct. 22.
