He's been on daddy duty since Prince George was born. Now, Prince William is back to active military duty.

The proud new pop's two-week paternity leave has ended, and Kate Middleton's husband has returned to work with the Royal Air Force, per NBC News.

The 31-year-old royal is expected to report for duty this week in Anglesey, Wales, after saying farewell to his wife and newborn son, who are staying with Kate's family in Bucklebury, which is about 50 miles west from their Kensington Palace home.

William, who is a search-and-rescue helicopter pilot, supposedly made the drive from Bucklebury to their home in Anglesey over the weekend. William's leave officially ended on Monday, Aug. 5, but he reportedly isn't expected back until his first shift begins on Wednesday, Aug. 7.

This past weekend, the Duke of Cambridge made his first official appearance since the arrival of his son, playing polo with his brother, Prince Harry, at the Audi Polo Challenge in the village of Ascot.

William and Kate also registered the birth of Prince George, noting in the signed register entry that their respective occupations were "prince" and "princess of the United Kingdom" and listing their "usual address" as Kensington Palace.

While William is away with the RAF, Kate, in the meantime, will be staying put in Bucklebury: She is expected to remain there with Prince George before eventually making the move to Anmer Hall in Norfolk.

The 10-bedroom country residence is located on Queen Elizabeth II's Sandringham Estate, and the new family will be calling it home—at least temporary—until renovations are completed on their primary residence at Kensington Palace.
