That was a close call.

Jamie Lee Curtis had quite the scare Thursday after she got into a car accident in Venice, Calif., briefly landing her in the hospital before doctors eventually gave her the all-clear.

The LAPD confirms to E! News that at 10:10 a.m., the 54-year-old actress was riding in a limo when it was struck by another vehicle at the intersection of Pacific Avenue and Rose Avenue.

The True Lies star reportedly complained of pain and was transported to a local hospital. No crime was committed, authorities said.

"Jamie was indeed a passenger in a car involved in a collision this a.m.," the actress's rep tells E! News. "She went to the hospital to be checked out, but she is fine and is home resting."

And it looks like Curtis may have gotten some help on the scene from a celeb guardian angel.

Per published reports, Curtis supposedly called pal Jodie Foster to come and help her out, and photos from the scene show a woman resembling Foster standing next to Curtis. Police, however, could not confirm to E! News the Oscar winner's appearance, and Foster's rep was unavailable for comment.

(Here's an interesting movie connection between the two pals: Foster starred in the original 1976 version of Freaky Friday while Curtis headlined the 2003 remake costarring Lindsay Lohan.)

Curtis, however, has recently taken a step back from starring in feature films, opting instead to sign up for a string of TV guest stints. Last year, she popped up on both NCIS and New Girl.

The actress, however, will soon be making a big-screen return: She's set to star in the movie adaptation of the cult TV series Veronica Mars.
