FOXThe man married to Simon Cowell's baby mama, Lauren Silverman, has cited adultery in divorce papers he filed two weeks ago in New York City, the New York Post reports.
Andrew Silverman, a wealthy real estate developer, even names the X Factor judge as a co-respondent in the papers. This means that the Brit may be called to the stand as a witness to describe in detail his relationship with the pregnant brunette.
Andrew's brother, Alexander, told the Post, "It is an unbelievable story of betrayal. It is a sad story and a tragic story."
While on the stand, Simon could potentially be asked to reveal his financial information to the court—he is currently said to be worth around $350 million.
The 53-year-old TV star was photographed for the first time since the baby news broke in Los Angeles on Wednesday evening. He was seen exiting a filming for the upcoming season of X Factor.
And it appears that some of Simon's closest colleagues are already stoked on him becoming a father.
E! News caught up with former American Idol star Jennifer Hudson who couldn't help but gush about Simon's skills.
"You're the third person who's said that to me today, and it still has not sunk in," Hudson, 31, revealed when we asked her about him.
"Congratulations to Simon—I'm sure he's going to be an amazing father," she said.
Still, Hudson couldn't resist the urge to take a dig at the famously testy, cantankerous and droll Simon. Talking to directly to the camera—and to Simon—Jennifer cracked: "Go easy, don't treat [the baby] like the American Idol kids. Be nice to him OK, Simon? Jeez!"
Jennifer clearly delighted in playfully roasting her pal.
"Imagine him as a dad?" she joked, before putting on a British accent: "Dahling, what are you crying for?"
"I mean, what's that gonna be like? 'This baby doesn't have the It factor, the X factor!" Jennifer said, taking one last friendly swipe.
