Watch: Amanda Seyfried Covers Dad's Eyes

No surprise, some scenes in Lovelace aren't appropriate for all audiences.

Particularly, for Amanda Seyfried's father.

E! News caught up with the blond beauty at the New York City premiere for her upcoming flick based on the life of porn star Linda Lovelace, and the 27-year-old star candidly confessed she had to protect her father from her nude scenes in the biopic.

"I've seen it twice; I was sitting next to my dad and I had to cover his eyes," she admitted to E! News at the premiere, which took place Tuesday at the Museum of Modern Art. "It's like I'm working through the screening; usually I don't stay, but I have to be on guard because my boobs might pop out and I have to shield him."

Understandable—but that doesn't mean the drama is all about sex.

"The thing about this movie is, it's not as much about the pornography as it is about her relationship with her husband," the Les Mis star explained. "Of course, she was a porn star, so there is some nudity involved, but it's not gratuitous."

"It's just a simple thing of not wanting my father to see me," she added.

Seyfried also spoke passionately about the exploitation of women in society and became particularly fired up while touching on the subject of sex slaves and human trafficking.

"Our world is f--ked up," she said with a sigH. "And yeah, we're always dealing with that s--t unfortunately."

The Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friendman-directed film debuted at this year's Sundance Film Festival. The drama tells the story of Linda Lovelace, the troubled actress who starred in the infamous 1972 porno Deep Throat.

In addition to Seyfried, the film features a star-studded supporting cast including: Adam Brody as Linda's costar Harry Reems; Sharon Stone and Robert Patrick as Linda's parents; Hank Azaria as Deep Throat director Gerard Damiano; Chloë Sevigny as a journalist who interviews Linda; as well as James Franco as Hugh Hefner.

The highly anticipated film hits theaters Aug. 9.
