Kate Upton is back at the beach and modeling…jewelry?
Yep, the 21-year-old who has made a name for herself modeling bikinis for the likes of Sports Illustrated, GQ and swimwear brand Beach Bunny, has ditched her trusty two-piece as one of the new faces for David Yurman's fall 2013 campaign.
And judging from her excited tweets, she couldn't be happier about the new modeling gig, which sees her in a less risqué wardrobe than we're used to.
"My new @davidyurman photo shot by Peter Lindbergh :)" she tweeted yesterday, along with a shot from the campaign.
Although her trademark sultry stare is still intact, Upton is covered up in a cozy ribbed sweater as she poses on sandy shores and shows off Yurman's bangles.
In another close-up shot, however, the curvaceous model appears to be wearing nothing as she flaunts a few stacked rings by the jewelry designer.
Upton follows in the fashionable footsteps of A-list models who have struck a pose for the brand, including Kate Moss and Gisele Bündchen. And in another move that seems to indicate the bikini babe is trying to embrace a slightly more high fashion reputation, she graced the cover of American and Brazilian Vogue this year.
But given the shots we've seen from her upcoming project—a role in The Other Woman where she rocks itty-bitty bikinis—we're not so sure she's ready to completely retire her two-piece just yet!
