Straight from Mother Monster's mouth!

Lady Gaga held an impromptu Q&A for fans on Twitter earlier today where she revealed key details about her upcoming single, "Applause," and the new app for her album ARTPOP.

She also let the cat out of the bag by releasing a chunk of lyrics (presumably the chorus) to her future single.

"Give me that thing that I love/ Put your hands up/ Make ‘em touch/ A-P-P-L-A-U-S-E"

When fans asked for clarification on what the app entails, and how to ensure that they snag themselves a copy, Gaga was quick to answer all their questions and concerns.

"The APP is in essence, an interactive jewel case," she explained. "The ARTPOP app is Free, available in App Stores on your device. You can purchase the music through the ARTPOP app once it's downloaded."

"Or you can purchase the album at the music store+download the free app separately at the app store," she added.

The 27-year-old also hyped up fans around the world by announcing, "the single 'Applause' and it's MUSIC VIDEO will BOTH debut on same day. ARTPOP 8/19"

If you're a die-hard Little Monster, you've most likely already started a countdown to the August date—only a few short weeks left until "Applause" hits the airwaves!

Gaga wrote "Applause" with DJ White Shadow, someone she's collaborated with for five years now.

"In my heart of hearts as I was writing, I knew that if I asked [the fans] to cheer for me before I sang or if I alluded to the fact that they would cheer for me before I sang....They do that all the time for me; before I even open my mouth, the fans start cheering for me," she told Women's Wear Daily.

"And so this exclamation, ‘Give me that thing that I love. Give it to me. I'm ready, start the music.' I'm from New York. I've worked since I was a five-year-old to be a performer. All my life. I deserve to be here. I'm ready."

And like her fans, it looks like Gaga is back in action and gearing up for the next chapter of her career.

She just changed her profile picture on her Twitter account and added a new bio touching upon the release dates of her new material.
