Tamra Barney is counting her blessings.

The Real Housewives of Orange County star came close to death last year after she suffered a burst hernia.

"They had to reconstruct my whole stomach," Barney told me at the Smurfs 2 premiere. "It was really, really bad. I almost died."

Part of her "intestines were dying," Barney said. She spent five days in the hospital after undergoing emergency surgery. "The scary thing was I was supposed to go to Mexico the next morning and had I gotten on the airplane, they said it probably wouldn't have been able to get down in time," Barney said.

But things have definitely turned around since then. Barney and Eddie Judge tied the knot about six weeks ago.

As happy as they are, the mother of three said she and Judge aren't planning to have children.

"No more," Barney said. "I'm 45 years old."

Plus, she added, the hernia surgery left her with metal plates in her stomach.

Barney laughed, "I have, like, abs of steel—feel it." (FYI: I did!)

Bravo will air a three-part wedding spinoff called Tamra's OC Wedding premiering on Sept. 2, at which point, Tamra wrote on her blog she plans to be "Mrs. Tamra Judge."

This is the third go-round the reality star. Her 11-year union to second husband Simon Barney ended acrimoniously when the latter filed for divorce in January 2010 accusing her of adultery.

Tamra and Judge got engaged in March 2012. They were married in a lavish afternoon affair at the St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort in Dana Point, Calif.

Barney wore three dresses by Mark Zunino over the course of the ceremony and reception.
