Gwyneth Paltrow hasn't been shy about revealing the fact that at 40 years of age she has the butt of a "22-year-old stripper."
And now the blond beauty is filling us in on the secrets behind achieving her age-defying shape.
In an article she penned for The Telegraph, the mother of two is revealing her tips for keeping fit—and some of them may surprise you!
While most of us have now heard her about her ultra-healthy dieting habits, the Iron Man star not only admits she occasionally cheats, but she encourages others to do the same.
"Stay away from processed foods, though cutting them out completely is no fun and can ultimately lead to a binge," she writes in her column. "Allow yourself programmed treats—I often have a glass of red wine in the evening and smoke a cigarette on a Saturday."
That's right, even the Goop goddess lets loose every once in a while!
"I love those moments because they are just the right amount of naughty," she admits. "That balance keeps you vibrant. You have to live your life, after all."
But make no mistake about it, living for Gwynie also involves some pretty intense dietary commitments, including a yearly detox.
And while Paltrow highly recommends purging the system of toxins, she also warns against a specific type of cleanse that had her feeling a little loopy after she tried it.
"I've done juice cleanses in the past, and in my twenties I did the Master Cleanse, which left me hallucinating after 10 days," she revealed. "Be aware: a juice detox can crash your metabolism and lead to future weight gain."
Instead, Paltrow recommends trying a slightly less extreme program. This year, for example, she went with the additive and processed food-free Elimination Diet, which she tried for three weeks with no hallucinations in sight!
