Just like Jason Sudeikis, Olivia Wilde is all about giving credit where it's due.

"His skill level is so high," Wilde says of her fiancé in the 2013 issue of Fashion magazine. "I really have learned a lot from him, especially when it comes to being bold and taking risks as an actor within a role. Comedians are so great about trying things, like doing seven takes in seven different ways and really not being afraid to stumble.''

And take risks in the acting department isn't the only thing that Sudeikis inspired Wilde to do, despite some initial reservations.

"'It's really hard to jump into a relationship after you feel you've been through a difficult time," says Wilde, who divorced Tao Ruspoli in 2011 after nearly eight years of marriage. "I liken it to a burn victim jumping back into a Jacuzzi."

Ouch! But it sounds as if Sudeikis was willing to do seven takes in seven different ways to win Wilde's heart.

"It took a lot of coaxing," Wilde admitted.

All the risks that the 29-year-old actress has been taking these days seem to be working out: She and Sudeikis are happily engaged, she has matched wits with him onstage and she is taking a turn for the dramatic in the upcoming Rush.

"It is based on a true story," Wilde explains in Fashion. "I play Suzy Miller—who was [Formula One racer] James Hunt's first wife. Suzy ended up leaving [James] for Richard Burton—who left Elizabeth Taylor for Suzy. My job in the film was to tell the story of James's tumultuous marriage, which was very Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? messy...I got to wear archive Gucci head to toe through the movie!"

Chris Hemsworth plays Hunt in the film, in theaters Sept. 20.

And Sudeikis hasn't been shy about sharing what Wilde has done for him.

"Being happy, and in love, for me, was the secret. I feel like I returned home to myself as an individual through the process of falling in love with the sweetest woman I've ever known," he gushed in the August 2013 issue of Elle

Then there's the now former Saturday Night Live star's weight loss...

"The truth is, I'm not getting up an hour earlier and walking on a treadmill. I have the greatest workout partner in the world," Sudeikis bragged. "And you don't need a gym membership for that kind of workout."
