The world of Once Upon a Time just added a bit more magic to it!

Rumors have been swirling around the internet that Once fans would soon be introduced to the classic Disney icon, Tinkerbell, in the ABC drama's Neverland-themed third season. And now it looks like our wishes have officially been granted!

The creative team at Once Upon a Time have waved their magic wands and cast 24-year-old actress Rose Mclver as the legendary blonde fairy, E! News has confirmed.

The Lovely Bones actress will don the infamous wings for a multiple-episode arc in the show's third season when the core cast travels to Neverland in hopes of rescuing Henry (Jared Gilmore) from the surprisingly evil clutches of Peter Pan, the series' new big bad who has yet to be cast.

There's no news yet as to what Tinkerbell's personality will be like on the enchanting drama, but creators Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis revealed at Comic-Con last weekend that the fairy will make her glittery debut in an surprising way. The creators also hinted that she will also have a unique and unlikely connection to another character; they would only rule out Captain Hook.

Details are very hush-hush as to who will be cast as Tinkerbell's Neverland best friend, Peter Pan. However Jennifer Morrison exclusively told E! Online that fans can expect to meet a "villainous 17-year-old boy" who is both "terrifying" and "the most feared villain of all time." Yikes!

The news of Tinkerbell's debut is just one of a long list of magical casting announcements including a brand-new Robin Hood in season three and the news that Lost's Naveen Andrews will be joining Once Upon a Time in Wonderland as Jafar.

We can't wait to see what the Once creators will do with this classic Disney role, but no matter what we'll make sure clap extra loud for Mclver's onscreen debut. She needs applause to live after all…

EW.com first reported the news of Tinkerbell's casting.

Don't miss the season three premiere of Once Upon a Time Sunday, Sept. 29 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
