Get ready to ride again, Sons of Anarchy fans.

FX announced today that SoA's sixth season will debut on Sept. 10 with a special 90-minute episode.

Here is the official logline for the new season: "Having framed Clay for the murder of Damon Pope, Season Six begins with Jax's leadership uncontested, but his family life suffering from his single-minded pursuit of John Teller's vision. Jax must find a way to keep Tara from going to prison for conspiracy to commit murder while rebuilding his club and breaking from the cycle of violence and greed that ultimately led to his best friend's death."

The hit drama averaged 6.4 million viewers in its fifth season. The first promo was released earlier this month, featuring Jax (Charlie Hunnam), Clay (Ron Perlman), Gemma (Katey Sagal), Tara (Maggie Siff) and the rest of the group involved in one epic and beautifully staged brawl set to Nine Inch Nails' "The Mark Has Been Made." Basically, prepare for a truly intense season come September.
