To hype her highly anticipated third studio effort, ARTPOP, the hitmaker eschewed her signature bizarre getups for once by going completely nude in a photo spread for the upcoming issue of V Magazine.
Dutch fashion photographers Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadi posted pics from the cover shoot with Gaga on their Tumblr and Instagram pages with the caption, "Get ready world for our pics of @ladygaga for @vmagazine !kisses iv #artpop."
At the same time, the duo confirmed that they're the ones who shot a short video teasing ARTPOP's upcoming release, which has since leaked online and features everyone's favorite Mother Monster sensuously licking what appears to be a monster hand (you can watch the clip below).
The first single for ARTPOP, whose title remains a mystery, is set to drop on Aug. 19 while the album hits stores on Nov. 11.
Lady Gaga will issue the latter in digital form through an application developed by her Haus of Gaga's technology division, TechHouse.
A release on V Magazine's website said the "Marry the Night" singer will also host "an evening of artRave exhibiting Haus of Gaga's projects" on Nov. 10 in collaboration with Inez & Vinoodh as well as famed artists Robert Wilson, Marina Abramovic and Jeff Koons. No word where that will take place, but according to the statement, for Lady Gaga ARTPOP "musically mirrors Gaga's creative process as she passes through the mediums of each artist she collaborates with," and is a "a celebration of obsession."
A brief snippet of a techno-heavy song dubbed "Burqua" purportedly from her new disc also popped up on the Internet last week.
Meanwhile after performing at a NYC gay pride rally last month, Gaga looks to be fully recovered from the surgery she underwent in February to fix a tear in her right hip—a mishap that forced her to cancel the remainder of her Born This Way Ball trek.
