Arrow's cast, including Stephen Amell, David Ramsey, Colton Haynes, Emily Bett Rickards and Katie Cassidy, as well as executive producers Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg, attended San Diego Comic-Con 2013 on Saturday to dish on the series' highly anticipated second season...and to preview what we think is the best trailer at this year's Con!
Included in the three-minute long preview? Our first look at guest star Summer Glau, as DC Comics' villain Isabel Rochev, and the Black Canary (set to be played by Caity Lotz)! But wait, isn't Cassidy's character Laurel supposed to become the Black Canary?!
When pressed about another character donning the Black Canary's black mask, Kreisberg explained. "One of the things we're doing this season is we're telling the beginning of the Black Canary story...this is the beginning of that story."
As if that action-packed trailer wasn't enough for fans to obsess over, the EPs also broke some casting news: Sebastian Blood from New Teen Titans will be coming to Starling City and will be played by Kevin Alejandro, and Michael Jai White will play The Suicide Squad's Bronze Tiger.
Other tidbits? The season premiere, which picks up five months after the events of the finale, is titled "City of Heroes," Ramsey's fan favorite character Diggle will be added into the Green Arrow comic books, and Thea (Willa Holland) will be running Oliver's (Amell) nightclub.
Arrow returns Wednesday, Oct. 16 on the CW.
