It's daunting to try and decide on one man who is the hottest in the entire world.
But Attitude magazine, a U.K.-based publication targeted at gay men, rose to the occasion. And while the obvious choices like David Beckham, Prince Harry and the One Direction guys (specifically, Zayn Malik) did rank well, it was a man with a name not quite as big who earned the coveted title of 2013's Hottest Man in the World: Tom Daley.
You probably remember Daley, 19, from the 2012 London Olympics. It was there that the British diver made his country proud –and showed the world how great he looks in a Speedo. He won a bronze medal at the games, and—thanks in part to his flawless physique—he accumulated quite the gay fan base.
And while Attitude's editor Matthew Todd said, per Gaystarnews.com, that the athlete won the title of Hottest Man in the World "by a country mile," he wasn't the only looker on that list!
Beckham, 38, came in a respectable second place, followed by Super Man himself, Henry Cavill in third. Prince Harry earned his number four spot thanks, in part, to his stance on equality. "He did extraordinarily well, no doubt due in part to recent revelations he stepped in to stop an attack on gay former soldier James Wharton," explained the editor. (In 2008, the royal reportedly defended a gay soldier from a homophobic attack, urging him to report threats he allegedly received.)
As for Malik, well, he can now officially tell his bandmates that he was voted the hottest member of One Direction. Harry Styles "came close," to being in the top 10, though, the mag's Twitter account revealed.
Other notable hot men who made the list include Anderson Cooper at no. 57, and Nicolas Hoult at no. 16. For the full rankings, we'll have to wait until July 24, 2013 when Altitude hits stands.
