Rihanna Goes Gray—See the Singer's New Hair Color!

Singer dyes her locks a salt-and-pepper shade

Unlike most celebs Rihanna actually wanted to go gray. The singer purposefully dyed her blond strands black then added gray highlights for a stylish salt and pepper effect.

The 25-year-old shared a pictures of her new hue on her Instagram account, writing: "Everything feels like touchdown on a rainy day." Then followed up with another shot with the caption: New color ice grey ish, call it #Brr."

For her final selfie from last night, the star appeared nude, hair falling across her face and décolletage. She stated: "Grey is the new black! Blondies, it's quiet for y'all!"

It has been nearly two years since RiRi has dyed her locks a surprising color. The hair chameleon has stay relatively loyal to black and blond hues since ditching her bright red color, which became so synonymous with the singer that it was referred to as "Rihanna red."

But where did the star get her inspiration for this new ash shade? Perhaps Nicole Richie played a part.

Back in May after Joel Madden's wife hit the 2013 Met Gala with blue-gray hair and a Topshop gown, Rihanna tweeted the compliment: "This bitch makes me throw up!!" Meaning her look was "sick," in a good way, of course.
