Justin Timberlake better make sure his suit and tie is pressed in time for next month's MTV Video Music Awards.

J.T. and Macklemore & Ryan Lewis lead the nominations list for this year's VMAs with six apiece.

Timberlake's "Mirrors," Macklemore & Ryan Lewis' "Thrift Shop" are up for Video of the Year as are Bruno Mars' "Locked out of Heaven" and Robin Thicke's "Blurred Lines." Taylor Swift is the lone female competing for the top prize for "I Knew You Were Trouble."

Mars is up for a total of four Moonmans while Miley Cyrus, Jared Leto's Thirty Seconds to Mars, Pink and Thicke each garnered three.

Timberlake's collaboration with Jay Z, "Suit & Tie," is up for two. Throughout the years, the former 'N Sync boy band star has taken home seven VMAs.

Other nominees for this year's festivities include Drake and Calvin Harris along with first-timers Kendrick Lamar, Lana Del Ray, The Weeknd and Capital Cities.

In an awards show first, Video of the Year hopefuls were announced this morning via MTV's twitter, instagram and Vine video accounts.

Nominees for a new category, Best Song of the Summer, will be announced on Aug. 12.

A host for this year's show, airing live on Aug. 25 for the first time from Brooklyn's Barclays Center, has not been announced.

Kevin Hart, who made his hosting debut last year, dared to go where nobody thought he would—he cracked a joke about Kristen Stewart's cheating scandal.

"Everybody's mad at Kristen Stewart for making a mistake, OK?" Hart said. "She allegedly messed around with the director of Snow White and the Huntsman."

"If she did, so what?!" Hart continued. "It's over, move on! Look on the bright side —they're now a part of the Seven Dwarfs. You got Sleepy, Grumpy, Adultery, Cheating—they're all part of it…The point I'm making is this—so what?!"
