Pippa Middleton Wants to Shut Down Spoof Twitter Account Providing Humorous Pregnancy Advice in Her Name

Peeved by some comedy writers' tweets mocking her advice giving, Kate's younger sis is threatening legal action

Pippa Middleton isn't laughing.

Despite her sister Kate Middleton on the verge of giving birth any day now, the duchess' 29-year-old sister has launched a legal battle over the spoof Twitter account @Pippatips, which dispenses tongue-in-cheek pregnancy and parental advice in her good name.

According to the U.K.'s The Independent, the Twitter page launched by writers Mat Morrisroe and Suzanne Azzopardi poked fun at Pippa by parodying the advice she offered in her party-planning tome, Celebrate: A Year of Festivities for Families and Friends.

After racking up 50,000 followers, @Pippatips ended up becoming so popular it landed the duo a book deal, which led to the publication of When One is Expecting: A Posh Person's Guide to Pregnancy and Parenting.

The mock guide, which came out in June, purports to offer answers to such "common" questions as "Is caviar suitable for weaning?" as well as practical tips on raising one's very own little prince or princess.

Apparently, however, the younger Middleton isn't pleased with the Twitter page that started it all and has put her legal team at the London-based firm of Harbottle & Lewis on the case.

Per the newspaper, her lawyers have since sent a letter to Icon Books, Morrisroe and Azzopardi's publisher, demanding it take down @Pippatips or face possible legal action.

Reps for Harbottle & Lewis and Icon Books were unavailable for comment.

Meanwhile as the world anxiously awaits the arrival of the royal baby, Pippa joined Kate's parents, Michael and Carole Middleton, along with her brother, James, and members of the royal family in the royal box at Buckingham Palace for the queen's Coronation Festival last Thursday.

There, the parties enjoyed a host of performances from the likes of soprano and Dancing With the Stars runner-up Katherine Jenkins.

Before that, the future aunt of the third in line to the throne wrote a diary entry last month for The Spectator, in which she dished on everything from who she thought might win Wimbledon this year to why she really wears oversize sunglasses.
