With Prince William at her side, Kate Middleton gave birth to the Prince of Cambridge on Monday. The new family stepped out in front of St. Mary's Hospital (just as Prince Charles and Princess Diana did) to debut their firstborn to the world.
After addressing the crowd and gushing about the "emotional" birth, the royal family headed to their home at Kensington Palace.
Now that the little prince is finally here, we're absolutely certain that the royal nursery has already been decked out for the future king.
That's right, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have prepared an incredibly inviting and safe sanctuary to welcome the royal baby, sparing no expense to ensure it's absolutely perfect in every way.
Here's everything we know about the posh royal nursery:
It's Stylish: Kate took careful consideration into decorating the sweet baby's beautiful room, shopping at high-end London boutiques like Blue Almonds and Peter Jones department store before making her final selections. She was photographed carrying a white wicker Moses basket, retailing at $450, back in April while shopping with her mother Carole Middleton.
As for the royal baby stroller, we know that Kate has selected Bugaboo's special-edition Cameleon3 design in jewel blue with bold black-and-white stripes. A hit among the Hollywood set, Bugaboo is definitely a popular and trendy brand in the baby world.
And while Kate has surely created a chic little abode for her baby, we're betting it has a classy touch reminiscent of her own personal taste that has won her throngs of loyal fashion fans around the world.
Royal expert Victoria Murphy told ABC News, "Kate's decorating style is actually very similar to her dressing style. She likes very simple, very classic, very elegant things."
It's also likely that Middleton may have enlisted the help of interior designer Kelly Hoppen to supervise the styling and creative direction of the magnificent royal nursery.
Hoppen not only has exquisite taste, but she has also famously worked for Queen Elizabeth II, as well as Victoria and David Beckham, just to name a few!
"Nurseries are a very personal room," she told us. "You have to work incredibly closely with the mother and father to make sure they are happy with it. My design is all about layering textures and feelings. There are some great things you can do...it's quite fun. I'm enjoying it actually!"
It's Neutral: Middleton made an effort to design a gender-neutral nursery, selecting items in herringbone brown and soft sage instead of the predictable pink or blue. The Duchess of Cambridge was spotted shopping at high-end interiors shop Bernard Thorp & Co., eyeing blue patterns and fabrics, but has seemingly settled on inviting earth tones instead. The retailer also has locations in Paris and New York. And now we know that the blues would have been perfect as well!
It's Newly-Renovated: Kate and William will occupy an apartment within Kensington Palace starting in August, that's said to be getting a major makeover complete with security upgrades. The 20-room space, also known as Apartment 1A, features a charming private garden, perfect for play time with their little one.
