The new trailer for the highly anticipated movie Saving Mr. Banks has just been unveiled and we can't help but sing its praises.

While we've seen pictures of Tom Hanks as Walt Disney, this is the first time we get to see him in action as the entertainment icon.

The film revolves around Mr. Disney's efforts to bring his daughters' favorite book, P.L. Travers' Mary Poppins, to life on the big screen.

Unfortunately, he hits a few roadblocks along the way, namely, Travers herself, who is more than just a little hesitant to make Disney's dream a reality.

Of course, as well all know, everything works out just fine in the end.

In addition to Hanks and Emma Thompson as Travers, the movie also stars Colin Farrell, Paul Giamatti, Jason Schwartzman, Bradley Whitford, B.J. Novak, Rachel Griffiths and Kathy Baker.

A few months back, Hanks revealed to E! News that there's definitely a certain amount of pressure that comes with taking on such a role.

"I don't want want to piss anybody off," the two-time Oscar winner told us in November. "I don't want to screw up."

To research for the part, Hanks explained, "I went up to the Disney Family Museum at the Presidio in San Francisco. At first, I just went up to meet Diane Disney, who is Walt's daughter, and some of the staff up there, but then they invited me back up again on a day it was closed.

"They just opened up all the exhibits to me, and I saw every piece of film and heard every piece of audio," he continued. "I also have like 39 hours of informal interviews. It's one thing to see him when he talks on TV, but another thing to get him when he's just having a conversation."

Saving Mr. Banks will be given a limited theatrical release beginning Dec. 13 before going wide on Dec. 20.
