After ten seasons, So You Think You Can Dance has finally landed its ultimate dance partner: Paula Abdul!

The former American Idol judge will be making her debut as a guest judge on the Fox reality dance competition, the network recently announced. Abdul will join Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy at SYTYCD's judging table for tonight's episode.

Lythgoe, who also serves as an executive producer, tweeted his excitement over Abdul finally appearing on SYTYCD, calling her "the girl I've waited ten seasons for." Abdul later responded, " I am thrilled to be joining #SYTYCD and I am not kidding!!"

It turns out Abdul's guest appearance is also a birthday present for Lythgoe, who tweeted, "Thank you all for your birthday Tweets. I don't know what you got for YOUR birthday but I got @ErinAndrews @PaulaAbdul and @HOTtamaleTRAIN."

Sports reporter and former Dancing With the Stars contestant Erin Andrews will also serve as a guest judge during the episode.

Prior to her time on American Idol and career as a pop star, Abdul served as Janet Jackson's choreographer. In 2011, she created her own reality dance competition series for CBS called Live to Dance, which only lasted one season.

So You Think You Can Dance airs tonight at 8 p.m. on Fox.
