Drinking is fine—pot, not so much, at least when it comes to Amy Poehler's advice for improv performance.

The 41-year-old funnygal is currently participating in the annual Upright Citizens Brigade's Del Close Improv marathon in NYC, where she kicked off the weeklong event by holding a 90-minute "press conference" with fellow founders Ian Roberts and Matt Besser.

And in typical Poehler fashion, the blond beauty didn't hold back, dishing on her thoughts about drinking and marijuana use while fielding questions from audience.

"Drinking is good," she confessed Friday (as reported by VF Daily). "Smoking pot is not great for improv. But drinking can be O.K., a little bit."

That totally makes us want to take a closer look at Amy and pal Tina Fey's hilarious Golden Globes hosting gig.

So what's the problem with a taking a few pre-stage puffs of pot?

"Well, you're just in your head and forget things, and you might get freaked out," she said. "Um, some people might; I don't know. So I've heard."

Fair enough.

The Baby Mama star also dished on her ideal improv wardrobe, confessing she likes to be casual and comfy when she takes the stage.

"I do not improvise in heels," Poehler insisted. "I improvise in sneakers. Why would I improvise in heels? It's terrible."

And when VF Daily noted Poehler had, in fact, been wearing high heels all day, she retorted, "It was a very fancy press conference."

Isn't she the best?!

Amy's rumored new beau, comedian Nick Kroll, is also participating in the improv event, and he couldn't pass up the opportunity to share his improv fashion sense.

"My rules are I will only wear heels when I do improv," he told VF Daily. "Fashion-wise, the last couple years it's been all heels. Before that, I had a minute where it was, like, ‘I'm only wearing culottes.'"

Pictures, please!

And Kroll also gave tips for managing one's alcohol intake throughout the week:

"The improv marathon is like a wedding in the Hamptons," he said. "Tonight's the rehearsal dinner; people go too hard the first night, they're a mess at the wedding. And then the brunch on Sunday is just an apology factory because you drank too much at the rehearsal dinner."

How can we attend?!
