Demi Lovato has found peace in the wake of her father's death.

The X Factor judge hit Twitter Saturday to let fans know how she felt following her father's funeral.

"Today I put my Daddy to rest....hardest thing I've ever done.. But I know great things will come of this...‪#LovatoTreatmentScholarship," Demi wrote. "There's an overwhelming sense of peace knowing my dad is no longer battling his demons anymore and that makes me so happy.

Demi opened up about her dad's death for the first time Monday, tweeting, "I feel so humbled to have had so much support from my fans, friends, family and complete strangers...God bless you all, thank you so much."

The 20-year-old singer went on to tell Good Morning America Thursday she was handling her father's passing "okay," adding, "my father and I didn't have the most ideal relationship, but at the end of the day he's still my dad."

In the wake of her dad's death, Demi launched the Lovato Treatment Scholarship, which covers treatment expenses for those struggling with mental health or addiction issues.
