Anna Paquin Takes Twins Poppy and Charlie for Stroll in L.A.—See the Pic

True Blood star and husband Stephen Moyer are very protective of babies and their personal lives

Anna Paquin is a hands-on mama!

The True Blood star spent some quality time with her and Stephen Moyer's twins, Charlie and Poppy, on Thursday in L.A.

Thanks to a double stroller, one of the 9-month-old babies was able to sit in the front, while the other took the slightly elevated backseat. Anna, looking casual and chic in a gray and navy ensemble paired with black flats, didn't appear to have any trouble maneuvering the stroller.

Anna, 30, and Stephen, 43, have been very private about their kids' personal lives. It wasn't until earlier this month that the proud dad even revealed their names publicly. In a 2012 interview with Redbook, Anna—pregnant at the time—was hesitant to address her baby news at all, saying, "Obviously, we're incredibly excited…But we're still feeling a little protective of the whole thing. Something could happen, you know?"

Fortunately, all went well, but Anna's refrained from talking too much more about her kids since then. She did confirm, however, that she's also protective of Billy and Lilac, Stephen's children from previous relationships. She told Red magazine simply, "Their privacy is sacred to us."

And even though Anna and Stephen aren't gushing too much—publicly, that is—about Charlie and Poppy, they're clearly smitten with the adorable twins. Last month the foursome attended a birthday party together, both parents doting on the child strapped into their respective Baby Bjorns.

As for the secret behind Anna and Stephen's love? "We're best friends," she said. "If you're going to spend the rest of your life with someone, you want it to be the person you want to hang out with all the time. We have a lot in common but, when it comes down to it, if that person isn't really your buddy as well, for me, I don't think that would work."

"And we spend all our time together," she explained. "A lot of people say, 'Oh, I could never work with my significant other,' but I love getting to go to work with the person I want to spend all my time with… It's like working in the same office building."

Yeah, working with Bill Compton sounds like a lot of fun.
