Jada Pinkett Smith took to her Facebook page to debut her new asymmetrical cut. Unlike most celebrities who've gotten a haircut recently (à la Camilla Belle, Jaime Pressly and Milla Jovovich) the star's new ‘do wasn't a bob.
Jada's strands still clearly hit her shoulders, and the 40-year-old's deep side part helps emphasize the angular effect. But length aside, the style's slant was similar to Jennifer Connelly, who also recently took off several inches.
The shorter length wasn't the only change Will Smith's wife made. She also got new blond tips, giving her an ombré effect—something Chrissy Teigen recently tried as well.
Could Jada's new cut be just another part of her subtle style makeover? It would go with her understated wardrobe.
Although she's been wearing her hair longer for the last few years, the star is very familiar with short hair. Not only did she sport a pixie back in the ‘90s, but her daughter, Willow, once famously wore a buzzcut.
Like her mother, the 12-year-old also likes to experiment with her locks. From pink hues to braids, she's one of Hollywood's top hair chameleons.
Perhaps her mini-me's love of change was what inspired Jada to switch things up.
