Suri Cruise's mom was first snapped in the West Village looking chic and stylish in a colorful pink, yellow and green sleeveless dress paired with strappy sandals and a pair of oversized shades. But when a very eager admirer spotted Katie, she did her very best to fly under the radar. According to an eyewitness, the 34-year-old actress dashed into a Nike store, and when she emerged some twenty minutes later, she'd ditched the sundress in favor of a sporty ensemble.
Tom Cruise's ex kept the big sunglasses, but switched into an off-the-shoulder gray shirt, black capri-length workout pants and pink sneakers. She topped off her quick-change transformation by wearing a Yankees cap.
Curiously, though, the Dawson's Creek alum didn't appear to be carrying her large black bag from before—or her previous outfit. Chances are, a friend or helpful assistant slipped into the store unnoticed, exiting separately from Katie while holding on to her belongings.
But the brunette beauty isn't just running errands and mastering the art of going incognito. She's also been filming for Mania Days and sharing some steamy love scenes opposite Luke Kirby.
And on a very positive personal note, a source tells E! News that the couple formerly known as TomKat are now "in a really good place" with each other, adding, "They have a good relationship. Soon after the split, obviously, they didn't. But they have managed to mend their relationship for the sake of Suri. Things are cordial right now."
As for a new man in Katie's life? She's been falsely linked to a few fellows (including Jake Gyllenhaal and jazz musician Peter Cincotti) since her and Tom's split, but it doesn't really seem like anyone too serious has come into the picture just yet. Between doting on 7-year-old Suri, filming on set in Brooklyn, working with stylist Jeanne Lang on their Holmes & Yang line and being the first celebrity face of Bobbi Brown cosmetics, this lady's got a lot on her plate!
Undoubtedly, though, there will be plenty of suitors lining up when Ms. Holmes has a little more free time to check out the NYC dating scene.
