Last year's massive plait obsession has trickled into 2013 in the form of various summer braids—especially the milkmaid style.
In June alone Jennifer Morrison, Beth Behrs and Claire Julien have all hit the red carpet with woven strands running from ear-to-ear.
Each golden crown was slightly different than the one before it.
First, The Bling Ring actress (left) wore a simple loose version to the film's New York City premiere. The bohemian updo complemented her sheer white sheath and matching sandals.
Opting for a more statement look, the 2 Broke Girls star (center) doubled up on the woven headbands, rocking two criss cross fishtail braids at the Monsters University premiere in Hollywood. The blond plaits—just slightly behind her blunt bangs—accented her golden necklace.
Then yesterday, the Once Upon A Time star (right) rocked a very similar style on the Some Girl(s) red carpet in Hollywood. The actress went with just one fishtail braid and two small pieces hang loose to frame her face for a softer effect. Morrison is a huge fan of the milkmaid style and has tried various versions over the years—but this one just might be her best attempt yet.
It should be noted that this famous trio weren't the only blond stars to wear braided updos recently. Over the weekend Annasophia Robb and Kendra Wilkinson tried out complex woven styles too.
But the milkmaid braid still seems to reign supreme.
