This may really be Michael Jackson as you've never seen him before—as just a plain, old doting dad.

Attorneys for the Jackson family showed a series of images today in court while Jackson's eldest son, Prince, testified in the wrongful death trial pitting matriarch Katherine Jackson and her son's estate against concert promoter AEG Live.

Katherine has charged that AEG negligently hired the now-imprisoned Conrad Murray to look after her son's health and thereby contributed to his sudden death at 50 in 2009.

AEG has in turn argued that Jackson was a grown man who was himsefl responsible for hiring Murray and that Katherine's multibillion-dollar lawsuit amount to an extortion attempt.

Judging by the pictures shown in court today, however, Jackson was also a family man who left behind three children who loved him very much.

E! News has obtained the photo exhibits, starting with the first one shown to the jury, of Prince posing with his sister, Paris, and Katherine on the kids' first day of school. There's also one of Jackson at the piano with Prince when he was a toddler.

Asked by Jackson attorney Brian Panish if he was interested in following in his father's footsteps, the 16-year-old said, "I can never play an instrument and I definitely cannot sing." He plans to study film or business in college, he added.
