Known to speak her mind on numerous topics, the Clueless star has decided to give her two cents and defend Paula Deen following the celebrity chef's recent scandal.
"God does everything for a reason @Paula_Deen," Dash tweeted.
"Only God can judge your heart BTW my daughter loves your show (only way she can get me to cook)."
Isn't that sweet? Apparently, a lot of her followers didn't think so.
Dash's post was followed by a number of responses from people slamming the star, tweeting back things like, "man you really are Clueless huh," and, "Wanna be cast as a slave at her next event? Since you're showing support and all...."
Another user also wrote, "Shaking my head. (P.S. Stacey, there are a ton of great cooking shows featuring people who aren't racist)."
However, the TV star wasn't the first celeb to back Deen after her admission to using the N-word caused chaos.
Rev. Al Sharpton also commented about the incident, urging people not to judge the famous cook by her past, as well as author Anne Rice, who questioned if what was happening to Deen was fair and stated, "[T]his looks like a crucifixion."
Deen appeared on the Today show this morning after initially bailing on an interview that had been scheduled for Friday, speaking out in her defense after her admission to using the derogatory slur caused some of the public to view her as a racist.
"It's hard for me to even find the words," a tearful Deen told Matt Lauer. "I was just overwhelmed, I was in a state of shock."
"Let me say this: The main reason I'm here today, it's important that I tell you and everyone out there how I live my life," she added. "I believe that every one of God's creatures was created equal, no matter what church you go to pray. I believe that everyone should be treated equal, and that's the way I was raised."
When asked by Lauer point-blank if she was a racist, Deen responded, "No, I'm not."
