Channing Tatum continues to gush about his and wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum's baby daughter Everly.

In a new interview with THR, the 33-year-old actor recounts being in the delivery room and watching his first child being born.

"I was there for the whole thing," Tatum said of almost 1-month-old Everly, who was born on May 31. "That was the most amazing thing I have ever experienced in my life."

As for getting used to diaper duty and being a new dad, Tatum admitted, "I am sleeping a little, probably a little more than most. A lot of people who have a baby probably don't have as much rest as I do. We have [a nanny] helping us manage all the risks of having a newborn."

As for how new mom Dewan-Tatum, 32, is doing, he gushed to E! News exclusively earlier this week, "She's good, she's really good. Tired, you know...just taking care of the baby on those first months. First months are hard."

"I'm away from her for 12-13 hours and I feel like I come home and I feel like she's changed—like her face looks different," the busy-at-work actor added about his daughter. "You feel like every minute that you miss is horrible."

Hopefully, Tatum will be able to take that well-deserved break from acting later this year to spend more time with little Everly.

Meanwhile, Tatum dished to THR about reteaming with his Magic Mike director Steven Soderbergh for a sequel to the hit 2012 stripper flick.

"We're developing Magic Mike 2, but he really wants to be done directing movies," he explained. "We'll see. I wish people would lobby him to finish what he started: 'Come on, man! Stop being stubborn and come back.' I've said that to him, but he is a very fixed-in-his-ways guy, and if he says it it is hard to change."

Hey, there's always the possibility of fans lobbying to get Tatum to take a shot at directing Magic Mike 2, right?
