Milla Jovovich has mastered the art of the selfie.

So when the model got a haircut earlier this week, we've been lucky enough to see the layered bob from all angles—thanks to her Instagram.

"New haircut!" the 37-year-old captioned the first picture of her shorter 'do. She quickly followed up with six stunning close-ups and four videos. In between her constant posting, the actress spent the day on the set of a photo shoot and then jetted off to Toronto, Canada to start filming her latest project Pompeii with Kiefer Sutherland.

Apparently the new haircut is quite versatile. ln each photo her strands have been styled slightly different: slicked back, curled and tousled just so.

"One step away from Something About Mary," the brunette beauty joked while sporting a volumous front section reminiscent of Cameron Diaz's character's ironic coif. Comic movie recreations aside, the Resident Evil star is an expert when it comes to bobs. Over the years, she has tried out nearly every short style and cut both on and off the red carpet. Most recently, however, Milla has been rocking longer layers, which allowed her to play with fun updos such as braids and twists.

And while Milla looks stunning with the shorter 'do, she's got some serious competition when it comes to having the best bob in Hollywood. Jamie Pressly, Christian Hendricks, Jennifer Lawrence, Jennifer Connelly and Nikki Reed have all opted for the chic chin-length style—and those are just the stars who've chopped off their hair this year!

The Twilight actress and the Oscar winner went with shaggy longer lobs, while the Mad Men star is currently sporting a classic bob cut. On the more edgy side of styles, the former My Name is Earl actress showed off an extra short, sleek haircut and the A Beautiful Mind star traded in her signature long locks for an asymmetrical ‘do.

Vogue predicted this short hair trend would be the "it" cut back in January. Naming Karlie Kloss' layer style The Haircut of the Year.

Six month later it seems the beauty prophecy has come true, at least in Hollywood.
