Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer took some serious risks while filming The Lone Ranger.

Don't believe us? Then watch the latest teaser video for the upcoming action flick, which gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at all the dangerous stunts the two stars performed in order to make the film feel real.

"Audiences are so sophisticated now, they can tell when it's CG, they can tell when you're faking it," producer Jerry Bruckheimer says in the clip, courtesy of Disney.

Which, apparently, is why the costars pushed themselves to their physical limits, pulling off some seriously impressive stunts.

"We're actually in the wilderness, it was more difficult than doing it anywhere else, but it was definitely worth it," Hammer explains as the clip cuts to Depp narrowly being trampled by a horse on set (instead he just took a few hooves to the chest).

The sneak peak also gives an inside look into a scene where Hammer is perched atop a tiny platform—held up by only a few cables—as a helicopter flies overhead and almost knocks him off his feet.

All in all, it looks pretty intense (and epically awesome).

The Lone Ranger hits theaters July 3.
