Katy Perry's no stranger to experimenting with hair dye, but it turns out her trademark dark locks were the result of a botched bleach job.
In the newly released behind-the-scenes video of her shoot for the July cover of Vogue, which is featured on Vogue.com, the singer opens up about her looks, dissecting everything from her hair hue to her favorite features.
"I've been dyeing my hair back since I was 15," she shares. "The whole reason I've been dying my hair black, actually, was because when I was 15, I chopped it all off. I had it bleached blonde, like Madonna in Who's That Girl and it just didn't look right, so I bought a box of color and went black, and never went back."
Talk about making it work!
But the stunning singer, who goes from makeup-free to glam girl in the video, also reveals she has certain insecurities when it comes to her appearance.
"I have all right lips and all right cheekbones, but they're no show-offs," she confessed.
