Just a few hours later, the 34-year-old hunk shared a screenshot from his iPhone of a conversation he subsequently had with the hacker via Twitter direct message. "From my twitter account hacker. Was just having some fun he/she said. Now back to work-filming today;)," Somerhalder captioned the pic.

The conversation between Somerhalder and his online foe went something like this.

Hacker: "lol I know you're probably pissed but I have nothing but respect for you – was just having a little fun. No hard feelings?"

Hacker: "Let me know how I can make it up to you (or block me if you want). I wont message you again unless you respond – Peace."

Somerhalder: "Really Not Cool… I appreciate the message though.. Yes, please stop. Have a great day."

Kindness in the face of annoying Internet shenanigans—just another reason to love Ian Somerhalder.
