Joan Rivers is not one to bite her tongue...usually.
But it turns out that there are certain instances which require the outspoken E! star, who recently celebrated her 80th birthday, to keep her thoughts to herself.
Like what, you ask? Well, like giving advice to her pal Prince Charles about being a grandparent.
Having already experienced being a grandparent, you would think that Rivers might give some tips to her royal friend (after all, she was one of four Americans invited to the royal wedding), since he will be experiencing the joy of having a grandchild for the first time very soon, but the Fashion Police host tells E! News that's not something she would ever think of doing.
"I don't think it's my place to give advice," she tells us, after noting that Prince Charles is quite close to the grandchildren of his wife, Camilla.
"When you are dealing with the royals, you have to know what line you cannot go over. And I am careful, more careful than if you were pregnant," Joan explained.
But the royal baby does come up in conversation, and the celeb tells us, "I just had dinner with the duchess's brother, and the whole family is very excited."
As are we!
