Short and not so sweet!

Jennifer Connelly debuted an edgy new 'do this week. While out in New York City the actress showed off an above-the-chin length, which was a surprising change from her signature extra-long raven locks.

But the bob wasn't your average blunt cut. The face-framing section was slightly longer on the right, giving the 'do an asymmetrical effect—very rocker-chic.

Also adding to her ultracool vibe? Aviator sunglasses, jeans and a well-worn tee. 

Jennifer isn't the only celeb sporting an on-trend, layered bob this summer. Jennifer Lawrence, January Jones and Nicole Richie are all keeping cool with the off-the-shoulder hairstyle.
