Who dares deface the queen?!

Some plebeian did Thursday, spray-painting a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on display at Westminster Abbey.

Per Reuters, the painting, done by Australian-born and London-based artist Ralph Heimans, was part of a display marking the 60th anniversary of the queen's coronation.

An Abbey spokesman said in a statement: "Until work can be done to remedy the damage, it will, very regrettably, not be possible to have the painting on public view."

London's Metropolitan Police confirmed that security detained a 41-year-old male suspect at the scene on suspicion of criminal damage. He was taken to a central London police station for questioning.

Homeboy is lucky it's 2013. Otherwise, it'd be off with his head!
