UPDATE: Los Angeles Sheriff's Department spokesman Steve Whitmore confirms to E! News that Pink was changing her baby's diaper when a photographer started taking pictures. The paparazzo kept moving closer to the baby, who had no clothes on. Two men stood up and tried to stop the pap, who fell to the ground and claimed he had been injured. Whitmore says that the deputies spoke to witnesses, who refute the photographer's battery claim, saying it was not true. A detective will be assigned to the case and it will be investigated.

Not the best way to get this party started.

Pink found herself privy to a paparazzo dustup after a photographer was allegedly kicked in the groin by a man as he tried to shoot photos of the singer in Malibu, Calif.

The 33-year-old Pink, however, was reportedly not involved in the altercation. A video of the alleged incident shows that the singer's husband, Carey Hart, was also present.

The L.A. County Sheriff's Department's Malibu/Lost Hills Station confirms to E! News that on Wednesday evening an officer responded to a call concerning a purported incident between two men, one of whom was a paparazzo, whose identity has yet to be disclosed.

A source, meanwhile, exclusively tells E! News that the scuffle occurred while Pink and some pals were enjoying their evening at the Malibu Country Mart.

When the paparazzo tried to snap pics of the singer, a male friend of Pink's allegedly approached the photographer and kicked him in the groin. The paparazzo then reportedly called police.

Authorities confirm to E! News that a physical altercation went down as the shutterbug purportedly attempted to photograph the "Raise Your Glass" pop star. No other details were released, however, and police were unable to confirm whether the man was part of Pink's group.

E! News has reached out to Pink's camp for comment.
