UPNMac is back!
Tina Majorino is set to reprise the role of tech genius Mac in the Veronica Mars movie, creator Rob Thomas announced in an e-mail to the project's Kickstarter backers on Wednesday.
"I'm pleased to confirm that Tina Majorino will be returning to reprise the role of Cindy 'Mac' Mackenzie," Thomas wrote before going on to reveal he wrote the role with the Grey's Anatomy star in mind.
"I really wanted Tina in Veronica Mars. To say I wrote Mac with Tina in mind would be an understatement. I wrote Mac for Tina, and Tina only," Thomas gushed. "Veronica needed a female friend, and a Q to her Bond. Tina felt like just the sort of girl that Veronica would like and respect. I couldn't be more pleased that she'll be with us for the movie."
Thomas also announced that Amanda Noret will be returning as Madison Sinclair, Sam Huntington as Luke Haldeman and Daran Norris will return as the lawyer Cliff McCormack.
Production starts on the highly anticipated movie, which will be released in 2014, next week.
