This would make an exciting scene should there ever be an Erin Brockovich sequel.
E! News confirms that the real-life Erin Brockovich-Ellis was arrested for alleged DUI while operating a boat at Las Vegas Boat Harbor at Lake Mead, just outside Boulder City, Nev., on Friday.
According to a spokesperson from the Nevada Department of Wildlife, the game warden observed Brockovich-Ellis struggling to dock her boat and attempted to assist her when he noticed that she exhibited several signs showing that she was an intoxicated boater.
After an investigation, the famous law clerk and activist was arrested and taken to Clark County Detention Center.
The New York Daily News reports that the 52-year-old had more than twice the state's legal blood alcohol limit and was released on a $1,000 bond.
