When you're the chief creative officer of a global fashion house like BCBGMAXAZRIA, a flawless sense of style is basically a job requirement—and one that CCO Lubov Azria  definitely pulls off with the greatest of ease!

Just like the models she helps prep for the brand's runway shows, Azria always exhibits a fashionable flair in her personable wardrobe, as well as her oh-so-chic office décor.

She recently threw open the doors open to her Los Angeles office—the successful fashionista also calls the shots at a chic New York office—to fill us in on where she turns to for inspiration, and to tell us a bit about the practices that helped her head a top fashion brand along with hubby, Max.

Here's what she had to say:

How did you get started in your career?
For as long as I can remember, I've had a true passion for art and art history. My passion for visual arts evolved into my love for fashion. After high school, I enrolled myself in design school. It was an organic and ambitious move, and probably the best direction I ever took.

Describe a typical day for you. Every day is so unique. I don't know about you, but I even can't remember what I had for dinner yesterday! Each day begins and ends with a moment of gratitude.

  • 6:15 a.m: Wake up, deep breath, 15 minutes of gratitude...
  • 7 a.m.: Work out
  • 8:30 a.m.: Breakfast nook
  • 9 a.m.: Drive time, my time
  • 9:30 a.m.: Arrive at the office and start the day with my ecommerce team to jump start all photo shoots for the day, then discuss all open issues with the team, business meetings in between, fitting times every day for two hours fitting each and every garment I produce, and finally design meetings in the afternoon (save the best for last!).
  • 8 p.m. Dinner with friends and family
  • 9:00p.m.: Alone time with my iPad and emails
  • 11:30 p.m.: Exhale, dream of tomorrow

Describe your work environment.
When I look around at my office right now, I see beautiful flowers, my library of inspiration and collection of books and color card swatches.

Explain your office décor/creative inspiration.
My office is minimalistic yet functional and inviting, inspired by my team around me, art and my travels. I like to keep the energy in my office space well-balanced. High ceilings, neutral colors and textures for decor, and my walls are lined with color swatches and inspiration for the year. An entire wall is dedicated to my library of favorite books that I've collected throughout the years. Having an office in Los Angeles is beyond, because of the amazing weather and natural sunlight beaming in. The large design space is so important to my team and I—it is truly a luxury.

The best part of my job is…Doing things I never knew I could do—and knowing that the possibilities are endless...

I never leave home without…My iPhone

Describe your office style. What do you typically wear to work?
My personal style is connoisseur with a visionary twist. Yet, it changes constantly depending on my mood, or inspiration…but I always stay true to myself.
