Now for her next trick, Jennifer Lawrence will move behind the camera—while remaining in front of the camera!

The Oscar winner is slated to star in the true-life drama The Rules of Inheritance and serve as one of the film's producers.

Based on the memoir of the same name by Claire Bidwell Smith, who chronicled the experience of losing both of her parents within seven years after they're both diagnosed with cancer, the film is set to be directed by Susanne Bier.

So apparently Lawrence's tour de force performance in Silver Linings Playbook was just a warm-up for this emotional roller coaster...

"Um, I can't believe this is happening," Bidwell wrote on Instagram along with a photo of one of the reports of the casting coup.

For now, however, the 23-year-old is patiently being slathered with blue makeup every day to play Mystique in X-Men: Days of Future Past, which is currently shooting in Canada.

During some downtime in Montreal last weekend, costar/ex-boyfriend Nicholas Hoult joined Lawrence, her brother and her bro's family on an outing, and last night Lawrence grabbed coffee with Arcade Fire frontman Win Butler at his longtime haunt Café Olimpico.

Arcade Fire's "Abraham's Daughter" is on The Hunger Games: Songs From District 12 and Beyond companion album to the film and the Grammy-winning band hails from Montreal.

A source tells E! News that Butler and Lawrence ordered two Cafe Latte Fredos, a house specialty. While there, the actress also gamely posed for pictures with fans and warmly accepted congratulations on her Oscar win from the cafe's owner, Victoria Fursaro.
